idiot of the week
I almost feel bad about this one. But here it is all the same. The other day, I was dispatched to talk to a girl about her stolen moped. When I arrived, she explained that her moped had been stolen a few weeks ago, that she had filed a report, and that she saw a girl on it the other day. She knew who the girl was, and gave us info to go off of. Well, pans out pretty well for me, and I am able to locate the moped while a girl is on it. Score one felony arrest for me. She said she took it as a prank. And punched out the ignition and gas tank lock. She also had pot on her.
So, here's the dumb part. I get the moped back to the girl around 6pm. Fastforward to 9:30. Accident: Ford F150 vs moped. Yep. You guessed it. She ran into a truck. No helmet. I wasn't at the scene, but I understand it was pretty rough. She will be ok, just banged up, bloody and broken a bit.
Like I said, I kinda feel bad for this one. It is pretty funny though.

Mostly about working as an officer in Rogers, AR 72758. And, yes, more of the city is 72756. I just happen to live in the 58 section. Sometimes work is fun. Sometimes work is hard. Most times there is a good story either way.
